Body modification has been a form of self-expression since history. Tattooing is a way of altering the skin into the desired color and pattern, and it works with the positive and negative space on the skin's surface. This garment is an experiment to explore such space and create a visual illusion of tattoo mimicry. The tank top features laser-cut leather pieces attached to the mesh fabric, with wavy hems and seams that work with the anatomy flow. The design of the laser-cut pattern references the chest cage structure and strips on animal fur.
