Blasphemy

The project depicts a holy figure being tainted by evilness and turned into an object of abomination. It is divided into two parts: Holy Angel and Sacred Geometry, The Gutted Lamb.

The first part represents the holy order of “heaven”, expressed through sacred geometry (circle). A purely white figure stands with absolute peace and justice, they are the closest form to God.

The second part depicts the fallen one who is swallowed by the devil. They are lured to sins, the angel who was glorious once has been turned into a victim of darkness.

Splanchnophilia (a mental illness of having sexual desire to internal organs) is the focus of this look, it’s the “sin” added to the story. When we turn someone into a sexual object, we are denying their intrinsic value and cut them down into something that’s closer to death. People who have the disease are attracted by the glossiness of the organs, just like other human beings who are attracted by the reflections of diamonds. That’s why materials that have a sheen texture are used to make the scene even more vivid.
